\u2018Are you going to join us?\u2019 Destiny asks, wriggling out her whole body and standing up. I glance at the red material on her arm, where she\u2019s tucked her number underneath. \u2018You\u2019re breaking the den,\u2019 a boy squeals, as he rushes to the back and holds it steady. \u2018It doesn\u2019t look like there\u2019s room for three.\u2019 As soon as I say it I know how it sounds. \u2018Always room for you,\u2019 Luke says, jumping up and leaning in to kiss me. I don\u2019t really let him and I can\u2019t tell whether it\u2019s because of Destiny, or because I still haven\u2019t brushed my teeth since I came to the camp.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s stupid as all I really want to do is spend the entire day with his arms round me. \u2018What\u2019s wrong?\u2019 he asks. \u2018Nothing.\u2019 \u2018Want to come under the sheet, then?\u2019 It\u2019s that smile. It somehow puts everything right. He should be the one who\u2019s in charge of the country \u2013 everyone would just melt and do whatever he asked. \u2018Alone?\u2019 I ask. \u2018Alone,\u2019 Luke says, taking my hand. \u2018I have to take this beautiful girl into the den,\u2019 he tells the watching children.<\/p>\n

\u2018To explain a special mission to her.\u2019 \u2018Can we go too?\u2019 I hear a boy ask. \u2018In a minute.\u2019 There\u2019s not much space, but it\u2019s enough to hide both of us inside. Immediately, Luke\u2019s lips are on mine, but I push him away. \u2018What were you doing in here with Destiny?\u2019 I ask him.<\/p>\n
