I couldn’t lie flat, I couldn’t lie on my side, and sitting up was pain- ful. There was no way to get comfortable. Everything hurt, including my psyche. I was still heavily medicated, but at points of clarity I began to feel again. I felt intensely sad. Crippling sadness.
