Like a routine you follow without thinking. You don’t question it. You don’t explore it. You just continue. In habit, the person becomes a part of your schedule… not your desire. You don’t imagine life without them — not because you love them deeply, but because change feels difficult. You avoid asking yourself questions. Because deep down… you are afraid of the answers. Habit is not wrong. But it is not the same as love. The Question That Changes Everything Ask yourself one thing. Be honest. If you had to start again — if you met them today as a stranger — Would you still choose them?

Not because of history. Not because of comfort. Not because leaving feels hard. But because you truly want them. If your answer is yes — even if it is imperfect — that is love. But if your answer is silence… or confusion… then maybe it is time to understand what you really feel. Because you deserve a relationship that is a choice. Not just something you got used to. PART III Self-Love Chapter-9 First, Love Yourself Story Akansha’s call came through on Shivi’s phone.

Her name glowed on the screen — and with it, all the feelings he had buried within him began to stir. He answered. From the other end — no words. Just the sound of quiet sobbing. Akansha was crying. Through her broken voice, a story slowly took shape — Aman, a fight, and then an end to it all. Shivi said nothing. He did not interrupt her. Because sometimes words are not what is needed — sometimes, just being present is the greatest help you can offer.

The call ended. And suddenly, silence. But the real noise was only just beginning — inside Shivi. A question had lodged itself between his heart and his mind — “Is this the moment I should tell her what I feel?” His heart said — yes, now, this very moment.

First Edition: 2026 Author: Shivam Dixit Language: English DEDICATION This book is dedicated to those who once sat on a rooftop at three in the morning and asked the sky — “Why does love even happen?” To those who — even after someone left — could never bring themselves to change that person’s favourite song. To those who felt so hollow inside that they thought, perhaps the problem lies with me.

And to those who still haven’t been able to decide whether what they felt was love — or something else entirely. This book is for all of you. You are not alone. You never were. AUTHOR’S NOTE I am no expert on love. I haven’t studied relationships at some prestigious university, and I have no credentials that would give me the right to claim I fully understand love. To be honest — the real reason I wrote this book is that there was a time when I was deeply lost myself.

There was a relationship. It felt profound. When it ended, I couldn’t figure out what I was grieving — whether it was the other person’s absence, or whether what I had felt all those days was even real to begin with. During that time, I read a great deal — books on psychology, pages of philosophy, other people’s experiences.

I found something useful in all of it, but everything was either too complex or too shallow. Nobody was speaking directly from the heart. That’s when I thought — I wish someone would just explain this simply, honestly, without heavy words or any pretence.
