The griffin is a powerful guardian entity that can cause new beginnings, bring enlightenment, and help you control your dark side. The raven has long been a sacred, even feared, bird in many cultures. Although a scavenger on the battlefields, the raven is also very cunning. It can help to absorb negative thoughts and actions directed at you. To empower these symbols, hold or touch each one while saying the proper chant: Griffin of Light, guardian and guide, I ask that your powers in this symbol abide.

Raven of Dark, listen to me. Absorb all negativity. Make stone elixirs using chalcedony, moonstone, jade, watermelon tourmaline, and clear quartz crystal. (See the instructions for elixirs on pages 44–45.) Chalcedony helps to see through illusions. Moonstone is valuable when using tarot cards or other divinatory methods. Jade elixir aids whenever you need help in a court case. Watermelon tourmaline helps to heal and calm people, while clear quartz crystal will lead you to the truth in any situation. Remember to label each bottle.

Hold each jar in your hands and use the chant for appropriate stone. This stone comes in blue, gray, purple, green, pink, and white colors. It helps to see through illusions, repels negative vibrations, cleanses the aura, and stabilizes the emotions. Into this water pour your powers, Reveal illusions, repel negativity, Cleanse all auras that you touch. As I do will, so shall it be. Although this stone is mostly transparent, misty, and iridescent, it can also be in the colors of peach, brown, pink, pale green, and gray.

It breaks up rigid ideas, opens communication with others, unmasks secret enemies, and is a great aid in foretelling the future. As luminescent as the moon, As powerful as the moon on tide, Your energies shall pour out And within this water shall abide. As with many stones, jade comes in yellow, red, black, blue, gray, lavender, orange, pink, white, and the popular green.

It will drain off excessive emotions or energy when rubbed as a worry stone. It also helps with karmic issues, past lives, and interpreting dreams. All worries drained, all karma gone, The secret of past lives revealed. Oh stone of dreams and forecasts strong, Into this elixir you are sealed. This stone is a mixture of pink and green.
