Captive Mine – Payal Dedhia

You know you want this. You always wanted me to give you time. I’m giving that now.” “Please… stop this…” “You cannot breakup with me. I won’t allow it.” I try to shove him away, but he’s stronger, his body pressing into me, crowding my space. His mouth brushes my jaw, my neck, his hands restless, as if he’s stopped seeing me and only sees what he thinks he’s entitled to.
The walls feel like they’re closing in. I can’t breathe. “Don’t… don’t do this. Don’t touch me.” The words come out broken, drowned by the sound of my own sobs. “No.” He doesn’t listen. “No.” His hands fumble at my clothes and fear claws up my spine. I gather all the strength I have and shove him with everything in me. I stumble free and run for the door, but he reaches it first, blocking my way.
“What has happened to you?” he says, frustration and possession twisted together. “You can’t change. You’re mine. I’ve planned our future. We’ll get married. You’re a good girl, and I need a good girl. You’ll accept me the way I am. That’s how it’s supposed to be.” He bends and tries to push down my jeans.
I strike out blindly, hitting his back, but he doesn’t stop. Then the door flies open. A man I’ve never seen before storms in, his presence scary and his face murderous. Behind him is Purvi. She runs to me at once, hands on my arms, pulling me close as I fumble to fix my clothes, shaking, crying into her shoulder. The man moves past us like a force of nature, his fists finding Rohan, each blow driven by a fury that feels almost unreal. I want to scream.
I want to beg him to stop. My mouth opens, but no sound comes out. My legs won’t move. I’m rooted to the floor, watching it unfold as if from behind glass, distant and unreal, while the world finally, violently, steps in where I couldn’t.

1kitap1.com/en Dedication To all my readers, thank you for the encouragement. It has fueled me to write more. 1kitap1.com/en About the Author I write dark, psychological romance that lingers long after the last page. Twisted love, obsessive villains, and slow-burn passion are my playground, but every story beats with heart and humanity. If you crave intense romance, morally gray heroes, and endings that satisfy—even when the path is messy—you’re in the right place.
When I’m not writing, I’m usually hunting down the perfect pizza, sipping my morning tea, or chasing my next travel adventure. Life outside my stories is flavorful, just like the worlds I create inside them. I love connecting with readers, so don’t be shy! I know it the moment we meet. He is a ruin I walked into willingly. And yet it feels like his soul has branded mine. I can’t escape him, or the way he lingers in my thoughts, or the ache he leaves behind every time he looks at me. He doesn’t want me. That should make it easier. It doesn’t.
