“Again.” Ares chuckled darkly. “So stubborn.” “That’s not stubbornness.” Athena said. “That is the beginning of mastery.” Nyx inhaled. Lightning flowed into one dagger; shadows coiled around the other. The two forces never clashed; they breathed balance. Athena circled to her left. “Let’s test your perception,” she said coolly. “Your mind must be as sharp as your blades.” Ares rolled his shoulders, crimson blade lighting with a blaze of red fire. War magic, ancient and patient, an eternal flame that would never go out. Nyx tightened her grip.

“Ready?” Ares asked, his voice low and lethal. Nyx inclined her head. “Always.” Athena’s spear shimmered and split into three illusions. One cut the air; another grazed her arm before Nyx found the true strike and parried. Clever. Athena fought with intellect itself. Ares crashed in, an avalanche of flame and steel.

He slammed into her, sending her skidding across the sand. “Come on, fury,” Ares growled. “You’re holding back.” Nyx gritted her teeth. “Fine.” She vanished into shadows, reappearing behind Athena and tapped her breastplate with her blade. “Clever thinking,” Athena said, approving. Ares didn’t wait. He lunged again, sword whistling through the air. Flame roared; Nyx split it with lightning, heat licking her skin. “Stop reacting,” Athena called from her side. “Anticipate.”

“And stop defending,” Ares barked. “Attack.” Trust yourself. Their voices overlapped. Nyx steadied herself, letting her heartbeat guide the rhythm. Then she moved. Lightning crackled around her body, speed blurring the edges as her dagger became a storm of strikes. She struck low, shadows binding Athena’s ankles, then pivoted and kicked the goddess down. Ares laughed. “She’s learning.” “Apparently so,” Athena said, brushing sand from her armour. “Queen’s luck.” Nyx grinned, sweat-slick and breathless. “Why do people always say that when I win?” Before Athena could reply, Ares was on her again.

Two flaming blades. Every strike history and wrath. Nyx matched him with light and dark, magic singing in tandem. He roared, a true war-cry, magic-laced, and the ground trembled. “Ares!” Athena snapped. “This isn’t war.” But Nyx didn’t need mercy. She met the roar with lightning in her bones, shadows anchoring her feet. She leapt; their weapons collided in a stormburst that hurled them apart.

They hit the sand, breathless—laughing. Ares sat first, chestnut hair plastered to his brow, chest heaving. His amber eyes found hers, unguarded, open. Nyx felt the ache in every muscle, and welcomed it.

1kitap1.com/en Dedication For the women who carry the world, even when it costs them everything. 1kitap1.com/en Prologue Fire licked the air. Not the crackling fury of storms or the ruin of war, but a slow, coaxing heat that crept beneath Nyx’s skin and settled low in her belly, whispering promises she had no intention of refusing. The chamber glowed with starlight and shadow, marble washed in candleflame. Silk draped the bed like spilled sunlight. Her crown lay abandoned on her desk, a circle of shattered constellations.

They were already there. Apollo leaned against a column, all golden hair and skin gilded by divine flame. His smile was wicked, made for sin. Ares stood near the bed, broad shoulders bare, scars etched like battle poetry across his chest. His gaze dragged over her with open hunger. And Hades— Hades waited in the shadows, darkness wrapped around him like devotion.

His eyes glinted like embers in a grave. “You came,” Apollo murmured. Nyx didn’t answer. She walked toward them, barefoot on the cold marble, heat pooling between her thighs with each step. Ares moved first, always first, closing the distance in three strides and catching her wrist.
