Don’t want to,” Lupa answered. “Comfy with Master. Want to stay like this forever.” “You need to take a bath or else he’s going to think you stink.” “Then I’ll get to mark Master with my scent.” “Nobody wants to be covered in somebody else’s musk.” “I want to be covered in Master’s.” “Come on. You didn’t bathe last night, so you need to bathe this morning. No breakfast if you don’t.” Lupa grumbled and looked up at me.

“Master… I want to stay with you.” “Sorry, but being clean is important,” I said. “Go take a bath.” “Mm… okay. After five more minutes.” She nuzzled back against me and closed her eyes. Unfortunately for Lupa, she wasn’t going to get five more minutes. Rosie made use of her strength to effortlessly lift Lupa off, causing Lupa to sleepily kick her legs and arms around while looking at me.

“Master… help,” Lupa said. “I’m sorry,” I said. “We can cuddle more later, okay?” “But cuddles now…” There was no compromising. Rosie was already walking out of the room while carrying Lupa as the latter looked back at me with an extended hand silently begging for help.

Until we were out of Rosie’s place, though, I couldn’t let Lupa be dirty. That was inappropriate as a guest and I didn’t want to bother Frolin or Ailsa at all. That being said, if Rosie kept true to the expectations she set for tonight, then there’d probably be no harm in me joining them in the bath starting tomorrow, right?

… I just realized something. I was most likely losing my virginity before the day was over. Yep. I was definitely going to go do a dungeon since there was no way I would be able to think about anything else otherwise. But first, I grabbed my shirt and gave a sniff to the part Lupa was sleeping against. It smelled good.

OceanofPDF.com Chapter Fourteen Dungeons & Dates I had a simple mission in mind for the day. Clear the rest of the starter dungeons. I wanted my armor set. And, because it was one of the “general dungeon” sets, it didn’t really require specific items. So, there were the normal armor sets based on dungeons that required specific items from their respective dungeons, and then there were the “general dungeon” sets. The “general dungeon” sets required rare drops from any dungeons of their category, but the same material could not be used twice.

I already had three of the five materials needed for the whole set.

They might have played it, enjoyed it, and then moved on with their lives. Even the biggest fans would eventually quit and then fondly look back at it after a decade or so. But it was always more than that to me. It was a game that saved my life and, no matter how lame it might have sounded to some, gave me a purpose to keep on living. Custom Dungeon World was the greatest game of all time as far as I was concerned. I wasn’t the only one who felt that way, either.

It was the kind of game that so many gamers dreamt about yet obviously would never become real due to logistical reasons. Whether those reasons were because of feature creep, lack of budget and assets, not having enough time in the world to produce it with an indie team—honestly, the fact that the game ever got made was a miracle. Even if the richest, most powerful person in the world promised to make a game like Custom Dungeon World, nobody would believe it.

Everyone would think it was a scam or a false promise for the sake of attention. At best, maybe some game with barely a tenth of the content would come out a few years later. Then Custom Dungeon World dropped out of nowhere on a Tuesday for a fraction of the price that AAA games were sold at.

Some of its more ridiculous accomplishments included: Over two hundred classes, each one with multiple specializations and ways to play. Someone could do three runs with the same class and it would feel different every time. Players also got to choose a secondary class to mix-and-match classes for even greater variety. Over ten thousand pieces of equipment between armor, weapons, and accessories, many of which came with unique effects that could evolve a run’s gameplay even more.

Then there was the entire reforging and alchemy systems to improve stats on them or to combine the effects from different equipment pieces together.
