Only 300 copies of the 60-page coffee-table book have been produced. The collaboration follows the pair’s earlier work on Mark’s book Hooked – Adventures in Angling and Eating, in which Nettie’s black-and-white drawings replaced conventional food photography. Their creative partnership continued last year with a series of colourful, framed prints combining recipes and illustrations, inspired by Andy Warhol’s Wild Raspberries. The 28 artworks were printed at Jealous Print Studio in London and exhibited at Jealous Gallery in November 2024. Due to the exhibition’s popularity, they decided to develop the works into book form.

Published by independent East London press Bimbo Books, Fishy Tales blends art, recipes and personal reflections into a beautiful tribute to Britain’s seafood heritage. Mark says: ‘It’s been playing on my mind for years, so I spoke with Nettie about projects we could work on together, bringing my recipes and her incredible drawings together in one place.
