The court heard Fury’s car was picked up by a camera on a smart section of the M6 between Keele and Stoke. Prosecutor Charlotte Morgan said: “On July 14, one of the Home Office- approved detection devices detected an offence involving a motor vehicle. The details were transmitted to the police. “On July 16, 2024, a notice for prosecution was sent via Royal Mail.”

Reading a statement from Staffordshire Police, Ms Morgan added: “A final reminder was sent second class via Royal Mail. “I have checked the system for a reply but there is no record of a reply from the defendant John Fury.” A second charge relating to allegations Fury drove down a closed motorway lane were dismissed. Fury will fight ex-super middleweight champion Carl Froch on April 11. now obtain a visa to return as police hold his UK passport. A court hearing today will determine whether his March trial can take place.
