Healed At Last – Kathy DeGraw

It sounds so personal and intimate. She thought, “Let me push through this crowd. Just one vague touch will heal me.” What faith! The moment she touched Jesus’s clothes, the flow of blood that she had experienced for twelve years instantly stopped. It was one touch, one grasp at a piece of material with her fingers, after years of infirmity, spending all she had and being discouraged. She aligned her faith with the touch of His garment. It was a powerful touch, and a story of healing that everyone has heard. Do you have a point of faith like this woman did? Is there a point where your faith increases for healing? There are spiritual tools we can use as points of contact. Throughout Scripture, we see healing power with prayer cloths, anointing oil, and the Holy Spirit. At what point does your faith increase for healing?

Is it when you run to the altar for prayer, pick up the phone to call a prayer line, someone lays hands on you, or anointing oil hits your forehead? Is there a place that ignites your faith? Do you have faith in God to use an ordinary means to bring healing? We should never look to an object to heal, but instead always keep our eyes on the Healer, Jesus, even if He should choose to use an ordinary item to bring forth healing in our lives.

By now, you must know that I love anointing oil. Yes, it ignites my faith because the oil I use has been carefully mixed and prayed over. It isn’t the oil that heals, but the prayer of faith, the power of Jesus, and how the Holy Spirit moves through the oil. My faith ignites with all the components and reasons biblically to use oil. When the oil hits my head or body, I align my faith with the Word of God, healing atonement, and the presence of God to heal my body.

Everyone has a point of contact, a place where and when their faith for healing ignites. Where does your faith increase for healing? Does worship enhance it? Consider: What is your point of contact?
