Heat A Steamy Omegaverse Romance – Maria Morrow

She snipes bitterly. “I don’t,” he snaps back. “Then what -“ “As much as neither of us like it, you’re in heat and I’m about to go into rut. I’ve paid in advance for this very expensive hotel suite for five days expecting an Omega to join me here, and from the way it looks, you don’t have any other options either.” Her eyes widen. “You’re seriously suggesting that we -!?” “Oh, like you haven’t thought about it.”
He rolls his eyes then leans in, right down over her where she perches on the bed, placing his hands on the mattress either side of her hips and lowering his voice. “Like you’re not thinking about it right now…” She whimpers, and her body gives a shudder, the tiny whispered “please,” falling from her lips before she can stop it.
He seizes her by the neck so fast she is sitting one moment and pinned flat on her back the next, her breath catching in her throat as he squeezes. “You did say I could choke you after all,” he growls, smirking down into her shocked face. He inhales deeply, nostrils flaring, and gives a groan.
“Fuck, you smell even better than you did in court today…” Her eyes widen beneath him, she gasps in a short mouthful of as much air as she can, and tries not to squirm. She’s half aware that his words hold a certain importance, but in that moment Cara is too preoccupied with her body’s needs to think on it.
She means to tell him to get off her. She’s certain that’s what she intends… but he squeezes her throat a little harder, forcing her knees apart so he can step between them, and when she opens her mouth all that tumbles out is another pathetically squeaked, “please!” His triumphant smirk widens. Dammit – this was exactly why she didn’t want to do this with someone she knew!
This was Donovan – the absolute last person in the universe she should ever want this way, and already her body was screaming at her to beg him for his knot.

OceanofPDF.com “O bjection!” Cara Vander rolls her eyes from her place at the front of the courtroom as the cocky Alpha leaps to his feet. “You know you don’t just get to say that whenever you disagree with me?” She tells him. He ignores her, speaking directly to the judge. “Your honour, these claims are ludicrous, there’s no way these three can be counted as witnesses, what they’re saying has no relevance to the case!”
“It has every relevance, Mr. Donovan.” Cara states calmly. “They were there the following week.” “By which time the defendant had already fled!” The judge narrows her eyes, looking between the two lawyers closely. “Overruled,” she decides, and Cara has to stop herself smirking. Or sticking her tongue out at her opponent.
God, why did he always make her want to act like a child? The judge points her gavel at the defence. “Continue, Miss Vander.” Cara tosses her shoulder length red hair back smugly as she turns to face the jury again. “Thank you, your honour. So, as I was saying, the marks found in the premises were in line with the earlier evidence – this confirms what we already know, that Mr. Brown can’t have been at the scene of the crime during that time frame, because -” “…Because?”
Her opponent prompts when she cuts off abruptly and stands frozen at the front of the court. “Forgot your argument? Oh, that’s right – you don’t have one,” he proclaims smugly, but Cara isn’t listening to his words, she isn’t paying attention to anything else in the courtroom in that second because all she can focus on is the sharp cramps in her stomach, and the sudden burning ache she can feel the beginning between her thighs. She’s going into heat.
Not now! Any time but now! She…
