A Creeds Honor Creed Brothers – Miss Sweetblunch

***** I kissed the sleeping woman on my bed. Part of me felt somewhat remorseful for tiring her out this whole morning, just like last night, but I couldn’t help myself. She was too tempting to resist. I couldn’t get enough of this woman. “Hey…” I said quietly, debating if I should wake her up or not.
“Hmm,” she grumbled, pulling the cover above her head. It was already afternoon, and she was still taking a nap, and I hated to disturb her sleep. I sat on the bed and leaned down to whisper in her ear. “I’m sorry, but my dad wants to see me. They are in the city right now.” Her beautiful eyes opened and stared at me. “W-what?” She looked alarmed. “Are they here now?” “No,” I reassured her with a smile.
“They are in their home. I know that I told you that I have no plans for today, but something came up. Do you want to come with me?” “What?” “To meet your parents.” “Are you sure?” My eyes went wide while looking at him. “Yeah, and some of my siblings probably,” I informed her of what to expect when we went to my folks’ city home. “Can I do a rain check? I don’t think I’m ready to meet your parents today.”
I nodded. “I understand. Are you sure you are all right, all alone in here? I hate to leave you alone.” She smiled reassuringly. “I’ll be fine. Don’t worry about me. Go and see your parents.” I glanced at her hopefully. I didn’t know why, but I felt that I didn’t want to leave and go anywhere. I just want to stay here with her. “Can I expect that you are still here when I come back?”
Her eyes lit with happiness. I hope that I wasn’t reading too much into her expression. “If that’s what you want.” “It is. Can you wait for me?” “Of course.” I kissed her forehead tenderly before standing from the bed. “Take some more sleep. I will be back as soon as I can.

It had been an impromptu wedding, and neither of our families was present to witness the occasion.
It didn’t matter, though. We planned to have another ceremony with the attendance of family and friends to witness our love, but for now, this would do. I couldn’t wait to be this man’s wife. This was just supposed to be a weekend of fun in Vegas as we celebrated the completion of his Juris Doctor, as he would soon prepare for the bar exam.
Yep, my man would soon be a lawyer, and I couldn’t be more proud of him. Levin Creed. I’ve known him for only six months, and yet from the moment we met at the New York University grounds where my mother was a professor, that was it. I instantly fell hard for this handsome man with clear blue eyes, and I would smugly believe that it was the same thing for him since we dated instantly after that.
It started as a coffee date at the school cafeteria, followed by lunch the following day, and many more dates followed. Before I knew it, I was practically living in his apartment near the university while auditioning for Broadway. Now our weekend in Vegas turned out like this unexpectedly. I am not complaining. I am more than happy to marry him wearing a burlap sack.
He was all that mattered to me, the love of my life. The man I unexpectedly met and fell for instantly, not just with his looks, but his brilliant mind as well. “…by the power vested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.” Before I knew it, the ceremony was over. I am now this man’s wife.
