Cosmic Music – Andy Beta

One night during her evening meditation: Alice clearly heard the Lord’s Voice ask a question that astounded her… “Do you want Me?” From the depths of her innermost Self, without one moment of hesitation, she answered, “Yes!”… On that unforgettable day, when Alice said “Yes” to the sacred contract, the Lord responded, “Then I Will Arrange It.”13 Adams likened it to Mary of Nazareth hearing God or when a young Albanian woman born Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu devoted her life to God, joined a convent, and rose to the title of Mother Teresa.
In Alice’s telling, this deep longing was recognized by the Supreme Lord, who then proceeded to guide her through the various forms of tapasya. Even more startling is that she then added that “for more than 600 million years of human life, the Supreme Lord has gently instructed me in the way of tapas.”14 Meaning that she understood this severe ascetic practice from eons of such practice across many previous lifetimes, each instance more an act of a “reawakening” to her true higher self.
She had been here before and knew well the rigors ahead. Not only that, she trusted what the outcome of such extreme self-mortification would ultimately be. “My tapas in this lifetime initially began with increased waking hours and extended meditations,” Alice wrote. “Long fasts were maintained and sleepless vigils endured… My heart was stopped several times a day, and sometimes the heartbeat shifted to the right side of the body.
All the hair on my head sometimes stood on end as if it were being electrically charged.” In this view, what appeared to be self-starvation was instead a test of will. The separation from her sense of self was acute: “My physical frame grew increasingly thin and emaciated; my facial features changed slightly, and to some people my face was beyond recognition.”15 The astral projections that had occurred when she was a young child returned in force, affecting her nearly every day.
At any moment, Alice might find herself projected out of her body.
