Darcys Hopeful Future In Peril With Darcy 3 – Zoe Burton

“I am also looking forward to kissing him again. I am completely without experience in this area but I would venture to say he is an excellent kisser.” Maddie laughed. “That bodes well for you, for certain. I suppose we will need to have a talk soon about what happens between a man and a woman after marriage.” She paused and tilted her head.
“Unless you would rather talk to your mother about it.” Elizabeth’s eyes grew wide as horror filled her. She shook her head so vigorously her brain rattled. “No! Please!” She swallowed as her aunt’s laughter filled her ears. “I would far rather hear it from you. I can only imagine what Mama would tell me.” “Never fear; while I am certain she will wish to have her say, I will prepare you with the facts ahead of time, and you can feel free to ignore her completely.” The carriage came to a stop and Elizabeth glanced out the window to see the Gardiner home looming beside her.
She looked at Maddie. “Thank you. I know I must decide where to marry from and soon, but I am happy to know that you will play such a big role in the process.” Maddie smiled at her as the footman opened the door to hand them out. ~~~***~~~ The following day, Elizabeth agreed to join her aunt on a shopping excursion to nearby Bond Street. They planned to stop into several shops, finishing up with a small book seller they had frequented for years.
Elizabeth was in need of new reading material and hoped the proprietor had found a certain volume for which she had been searching to give to her father. The ladies completed the first part of the trip quickly. Ribbons and lace and material had been purchased for various projects, along with silk for embroidering.
Chocolate and pastries had been consumed at their favorite tea shop. Finally, it was time to visit the book seller before heading home. As usual, they split up inside the store. Maddie preferred histories and biographies to fiction works, and she needed to find some children’s stories to supplement the ones she already had in the nursery at home. Elizabeth, on the other hand, preferred fiction and poetry, though she did enjoy a good history, especially when it had been penned by Shakespeare.
She headed to the back corner where the volumes of poetry were kept.

His hands curled into fists as he witnessed her skirt get caught on the step and the younger man reach down to unhook it. The blood pounded in his ears when the young lady laughed up at Darcy, lifting her hand to cover her mouth with her fingers. Then, when her escort leaned down to whisper in her ear, his vision narrowed to just the two of them. I told her to give him up, his mind screamed. And yet, here she is, flirting with him.
As the couple moved up the steps and into the house, the observer clenched his jaw. He breathed deeply through his nose and then turned to stalk away in the other direction. He paid no attention to where he was going and ignored all who greeted him. His brain was fully engaged in working out a resolution to his problem. The stupid chit, he thought. I warned her. She cannot say I did not.
He came to a corner, where he stood, still as a statue, paying no attention to traffic or other bystanders. Well, then, his mind said, if she will not give him up on her own, I will do it for her. There will be no going back for her when I am finished. He turned and looked back up the street to where he had seen the couple. Enjoy your last days, Miss Elizabeth Bennet.
I will not be gainsaid in this. OceanofPDF.com Chapter 1 Fitzwilliam Darcy reached for the latch on the door that led into his parents’ theater box.
